The Eccles Fretless 4-String Bass is a striking example of boutique craftsmanship, blending bold modern aesthetics with exceptional playability. Its most distinctive feature is its incredibly thin, lightweight body, giving the instrument a sleek, almost futuristic profile while remaining remarkably well-balanced and comfortable for long playing sessions.
Designed to feel like an extension of the player, the ultra-thin body makes this bass incredibly responsive and effortless to handle without sacrificing resonance or sustain. Paired with its fretless fingerboard, it delivers expressive slides, singing sustain, and nuanced dynamics that reward a delicate touch while remaining articulate across the entire register.
Every aspect of the instrument reflects Eccles’ commitment to innovative design and meticulous hand-built construction. From its sculpted contours to its refined hardware and premium materials, this is a bass that stands apart both visually and sonically. Whether you’re exploring jazz, fusion, ambient textures, or progressive styles, the Eccles offers a playing experience that’s as inspiring as it is unique.
This bass is in excellent condition with only light signs of careful use and is fully functional. It includes its case and is ready for its next owner.
If you’re looking for a fretless bass that breaks away from tradition while delivering boutique-level craftsmanship and inspiring performance, this Eccles is an exceptional and uncommon instrument.
