Up for sale is a stunning 1963 Gibson Super 400, Gibson’s flagship archtop and a true icon of craftsmanship. This instrument embodies the golden era of Gibson jazz guitars with its carved spruce top, figured maple back and sides, and luxurious multi-ply binding throughout. Outfitted with a floating DeArmond pickup, this Super 400 delivers warm, articulate jazz tones with that unmistakable vintage air. The tone is rich, open, and resonant equally at home in smoky jazz clubs or refined studio sessions. The neck feels silky and responsive, with that unmistakable vintage Gibson feel. Original appointments include gold hardware, split-block inlays, and that classic sunburst finish that’s aged beautifully over the decades. This example has been well cared for and remains in excellent vintage condition with light, honest playwear (shown in photos). A genuine collector’s piece that also plays and sounds as inspiring as ever.
