Check out this stunning 1959 Fender Tweed Super (5F4), one of the most sought-after narrow-panel tweed combos from the golden era of Fender amplification. This amp delivers everything you’d expect from a late-’50s tweed: rich, harmonically complex overdrive, warm and woody cleans, and incredible touch sensitivity.
The Tweed Super is often considered a “player’s tweed”, less common than a Bassman but every bit as inspiring, with a unique midrange character and exceptional responsiveness. A serious piece for collectors and tone purists alike.
The 5F4 circuit sits in a perfect tonal pocket, more headroom and low-end authority than a Pro, but still breaks up beautifully when pushed. The dual 10″ speaker configuration gives it a fast, punchy response with great dispersion, making it an exceptional recording and gigging amp.
The amp is in excellent vintage condition with honest wear. Tweed shows age-appropriate character, chassis shows some pitting from age, and the amp is structurally solid. It has been serviced with needed caps changed, however the 2 prong power cable remains.
