1970-72 Gibson ES-340TDN – Great Semi Hollow Gibson!
Check out this awesome piece of Gibson history. The ES-340 was known for taking a 335 and pushing the boundaries of what it could be. With a birch body for a woodier tone and a unique electronics system, this guitar aimed to give players more versatility out of a semi-hollow style.
The electronics offers a master volume, blend knob for the pickups, separate bridge and neck tone controls, and a three-way switch, providing different phase settings and a standby. While most players who owned these over the years changed the electronics over to normal ES settings, this one remains with its original wiring.
The guitar is in overall very good condition for it's age featuring authentic wear from years of playing. The Trapeze tailpiece was converted to a stop tail at some point in it's life. The knobs have also been replaced. The tone this guitar produces is playful and clear, a joy to play. It comes with the OHSC.
