L.A. Vintage Gear is proud to showcase incredible bass guitars from the estate of accomplished film and television composer Edgardo Simone. Spanning a career of decades in Hollywood, Edgardo was a longtime collaborator who orchestrated music with Danny Elfman and Steve Bartek , Oingo Boingo fame
Edgardo contributed to major films including Big Fish, Spider-Man, Men in Black, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He was also a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts grant, won a BMI Composition Award, and was named Distinguished Alumnus by the University of Oregon School of Music in 2007.
As a lifelong bassist, Edgardo collected instruments from many of the most respected builders in the business, including Lefay, KB, Louris, Warwick, and Spalt. Alongside these heavy hitters of the boutique world are many unique and one-of-a-kind instruments from more niche makers. These basses are built with high-grade domestic and exotic woods such as maple, walnut, and purpleheart, and feature premium finish work that looks so cool you just have to pick one up and play.
