Check out this amazing vintage find! This 1952 Gibson Les Paul is more than just a beautiful collector’s piece. We acquired this Les Paul from its original owner who purchased it new in the 50’s and lovingly played it for it’s whole life. The guitar has some amazing natural wear, just the right amount showing that this instrument was loved and played for decades. The tone from the P-90s is heavenly, full and rich with a natural compression and overdrive that can be brought on by the player’s dynamics. It is setup with a mojo axe trapeze tailpiece to allow it to be played much better than the original tailpiece (included in case) that came with these early Les Pauls. This bridge was designed to work with these early Gold Tops shallower neck angles and makes it play like a dream. There was a partial headstock break that was expertly repaired by Gil Chavez of Valley Arts fame. Gil also installed a correct 1952 wiring harness with the proper “Grey Tiger” PIO capacitors with a new Switch-craft jack. The original owner replaced the original tuners with Grovers. We had Gil replace these with relic’d Kluson tulip head machines. These new tuners cover the extra holes that were drilled for the Grovers (shown in photos). The Frets have been freshly dressed and leveled and the guitar is fully setup and ready to go. Original Hardshell Case is included, it has a replaced handle. Don’t miss you chance to grab this awesome piece of Gibson history!
